I just don't see why this isn't available in a Markdown inspired world. But then it does everything I need it to do (aside from not playing well with the rest of the world). Occasionally I'm annoyed that there are distractions and it doesn't play well with the rest of the world. I started using Fountain only because LaTeX didn't have a simple way to format screenplays.īut LaTeX is still the best. I found Markdown when a friend bought me a copy of Highland to read his script and I started using it, enjoying the simplicity of Fountain. I'm looking for a Markdown editor that can do these seemingly basic things. Its general format is fairly simple, with all of the documents. The body directly follows the last line of the preamble.
